Introduction

Cybersecurity, one of the most important challenges of our era, is a completely transversal field since it affects any type of system and information technology. This teaching innovation project establishes a series of lessons with theoretical-practical content complemented by lessons with purely practical content to provide a solid foundation of knowledge of different branches of cybersecurity through learning techniques based on educational gamification. Specifically, various monthly activities are carried out during the academic year following the Capture The Flag format, which are competitions that allow testing the technical abilities of participants in different fields of cybersecurity. These activities will be complemented with an initial CTF (so that the participating students know the mechanics of work) and a final CTF (to evaluate the progression of the students). In addition to acquiring skills and abilities related to cybersecurity, this project improves other transversal skills of students such as teamwork, creativity and communication skills.
